The Alexandria, Va. resident is the first public sector executive to receive the nation's top honor in the field of human resources.

The Milford Republican Town Committee recognized Samuel S. Bergami, '85 E.M.B.A., at its annual Hall of Fame Dinner. The committee recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the local community. The Milford resident also received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Milford Chamber of Commerce and a Small Business Person of the Year Award from the Connecticut Small Business Administration.

Ray Margiano '69, founder and CEO of Foot Solutions, was inducted into the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame. Among the inductees with him in the Class of 2012 was Subway founder Fred DeLuca. Margiano, a member of UNH Board of Governors, has developed Foot Solutions into a $100 million business.
