Kyrsten Belini '12 earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the College of Saint Elizabeth in May 2015. I currently am first-year doctoral student pursuing her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D) in Counseling Psychology at Springfield College. I am a Doctoral Fellow for the Psy.D. Department at the college. My research focuses is on individuals who are diagnosed with severe mental illness and what their perceptions are regarding how it has impacted their life and allowing their voices to be heard. I will be starting my first doctoral practicum training this fall in either a psychiatric unit at a hospital, a community mental health agency or a college counseling center. I is eager to apply her passion, energy and experience to my future practicum training position.
