Pincince Adds NEFW Coach of the Year Honors

WEST HAVEN, Conn. – Seventh year head football coach Chris Pincince will be adding another trophy to his office on Thursday when he is presented the Division II/III Coach of the Year honors by the New England Football Writers at a dinner in Framingham, Mass.

This is the second Coach of the Year honor for Pincince this season, adding this NEFW accolade to Northeast-10 Coach of the Year distinction as voted on by his peers in the league.

Pincince led the Chargers to an undefeated (8-0) record in the Northeast-10 as the Blue and Gold secured the league title for the first time since the 2012 season. Additionally, the Chargers advanced to the NCAA Division II playoffs for the second time in the last three years, advancing to the second round in each of those appearances.

Among the Chargers 10 victories in 2021, the most in the seven years under Pincince, was a rain-soaked 16-10 home win over Assumption University that secured the 49th career victory under his tutelage, moving him into the all-time lead most wins in program history. Following the season, Pincince holds a 52-25 overall record and owns the top spots for wins and most games coached.
