TONIGHT: Bartels Speaker Series

Join us for a live webcast edition of the Bartels Lecture Series. The event will feature Dr. Lourival Baptista and Dr. Claude Ann Mellins, distinguished experts on emotional well-being from Columbia University, who will lead a discussion about helping ourselves and our loved ones care for our mental health, especially during the pandemic.

Inaugural Celebration of Excellence

As part of our Winter 2021 Virtual Commencement celebration, we will hold our inaugural Celebration of Excellence program. Join the University community on January 22 as we recognize our students of color and multicultural students and welcome them into the Alumni Association.

On January 23, the University will hold its Winter virtual Commencement to celebrate our newest graduates. The occasion marks the end of a unique academic experience for these students, and we invite Chargers worldwide to join us to celebrate our remarkable graduates. Join us for the Cyber Legends Series, as we welcome Tim Youngblood, vice president and chief information security officer for McDonald’s Corporation, and Devon Bryan, managing director, and chief information security officer for MUFG Union Bank and co-founder of the International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals.

Alumna Recognized for Dedication to Chemical Engineering Field

Amanda Scalza ’12 got involved with the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) when she was a student at the University of New Haven. She continues to be actively involved with the institute, and her focus is on fostering diversity within the field.
