Highlights include the Charge Home Celebration at New Haven’s Trinity Bar on Friday evening and the Alumni Tailgate Party at North Campus on Saturday, followed by the Chargers football game. We will also celebrate the classes of 1971, 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011, 2016, 2020, and 2021.

Celebrating the life of Justine Bernard ’23
Justine Bernard ’23 was a remarkable student studying forensic psychology who dreamed of making a difference. We lost her tragically to gun violence on June 2. In her honor, the University and Justine's family have created the Justine Bernard Memorial Fund. Please consider making a gift in Justine’s memory to support the students, faculty, and staff who exemplify her drive to make a more equitable, caring, loving, and just world.

University Names Accomplished Fundraising Executive to Lead Advancement
Brian Otis has joined the University as vice president for advancement, overseeing all fundraising and alumni engagement initiatives. He joins the University from the University of Connecticut Foundation, where he has spent the last two decades.

Alumna’s Bone Marrow Provides a Life-Saving Gift
When Rachel Buck ’19 registered to be a bone marrow donor at an event at the University of New Haven, she never thought she would end up helping to save the life of a child with cancer. But that’s exactly what she did – and she recently met the boy, who has recovered, and his family.

Alumna Looks Forward to Empowering Patients Through a Career in Medicine
Sandy Durosier ’16 M.S., a graduate of the University’s master’s degree program in cellular and molecular biology, is now on her way to becoming a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Earlier this summer, she moved to Mesa, Arizona, to begin her studies at the A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-SOMA). She looks forward to being able to help her patients heal, just like the physicians who helped a member of her own family.

Collaboration with Dell Technologies to Foster Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Esports
The affiliation will create a graduate-level course focused on exploring and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in esports, creating new opportunities for students, and adding to Dell’s portfolio of global DEI initiatives.

The University’s Liberty Initiative enables students to engage in important and timely real-world research and consulting projects while networking with leading professionals, businesses, and think tanks.
