Congratulations, graduates!

The University awarded more than 900 degrees as part of its Winter Commencement last week. We are proud to welcome these graduates, members of the Class of 2022, as the newest members of the Alumni Association!

Samuel Sorbello Jr. ’22 Hon., a successful entrepreneur who was the founder, president, and CEO of Atlantic Coast Freezers, gave the Commencement address and was conferred an honorary degree. He is a longtime University benefactor who supported the development of the state-of-the-art Colleen Sorbello Research Laboratory in honor of his late wife.

We honor our newest graduates for all they have achieved and their limitless potential to make a difference in our world, and we commend them for the diligence and resolve they have shown in reaching this important milestone in their educational journeys.

Alumni Oral History Project

Every Charger has a story, and the Alumni Association wants you to share yours! We have partnered with Publishing Concepts (PCI) to help us capture stories from alumni across decades and around the globe to produce a commemorative compilation of our time as Chargers. Student Leaders Launch Organization for First-Generation Students

The First-Generation Student Association is a new recognized student organization at the University that aims to foster community, connection, and offer support to students who are the first in their family to go to college.

National Security Alumni Share Passion for Making a Difference

Alumnae Francesca Pimenta ’21, Angélica Cruz ’21, and Tuathla Hefferan ’20, ’21 M.S., recent graduates of the University’s national security program, are grateful for the meaningful and exciting opportunities they have had, both in the program and since graduating.

Students Excel at Pitch Competition at Mohegan Sun

As part of an “Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism Management” course, students visited Mohegan Sun, gaining firsthand insight into the industry through tours, networking, and a unique opportunity to pitch their business ideas to executives.

Pincince Adds NEFW Coach of the Year Honors

Head football coach Chris Pincince recently added another trophy to his office when he was presented the Division II/III Coach of the Year honors by the New England Football Writers at a dinner in Framingham, MA.
